1. Who we are
NameHub is a domain name marketplace. We connect buyers with brandable domain names and handle transfers through Spaceship SafePay escrow. You can reach us at Contact@namehub.io.
2. Data we collect
We collect only what we need to run the marketplace:
- Visitor analytics: IP address, browser user agent, referring URL and pages viewed, stored to understand site traffic. We use no third-party tracking scripts.
- Offers and inquiries: your name, email address and the message you send about a domain. Used only to reply to you.
- Newsletter: your email address and sign-up date. Used only to send domain listings and updates from NameHub.
- Expiry alerts: your email address and the domain you asked us to watch. Used only to send that alert.
- Security session for public forms: a temporary session that checks a security token when you submit a form. It holds no personal data and ends when you close your browser.
- Admin session (namehub_admin): set only when an administrator signs in. Never set for visitors.
3. How we use your data
- To reply to offers and questions about domains.
- To send newsletters and expiry alerts you asked for.
- To see which pages and domains are popular.
- To protect the site from spam and abuse (rate limits by IP address).
We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for marketing.
4. How long we keep it
- Offers and inquiries: up to 2 years, or until the related sale is complete, whichever comes first.
- Newsletter and alert subscriptions: while active. Deactivated as soon as you unsubscribe.
- Visitor logs: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Rate-limit records: removed automatically when the limit window ends, usually 1 hour.
5. Your rights
- Unsubscribe at any time with the link in any email, or by emailing us.
- Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to delete it. We delete within 30 days unless the law requires us to keep it.
- Object to any use not described in this policy.
To use any of these rights, email Contact@namehub.io. We reply within 30 days.
6. Cookies
We use no tracking or advertising cookies. Two temporary session cookies may be set:
- Security cookie (public): set when you submit a form, to check a security token. It ends when you close your browser and contains no personal data.
- Admin session cookie (namehub_admin): set only when an administrator signs in. It ends after 4 hours without activity.
Names you save with the heart button are stored only in your own browser (local storage) and never sent to us.
7. Third-party services
- Spaceship SafePay: payment escrow and domain transfer. Spaceship's own privacy policy applies to payment data.
- Google Fonts: the site's typefaces (Public Sans, Source Serif 4 and Bodoni Moda) load from Google Fonts. Google's privacy policy applies to those requests.
- Free tools: lookups query public services such as registry RDAP servers, DNS resolvers and the Internet Archive. The domain you enter is sent to them; nothing else about you is.
8. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top always shows the current version.
